Although a few families settled in this area in the 1750's, Franklin Township was not incorporated until January 2, 1851. Franklin Township is a Second Class Township and covers approximately 15 square miles. Our Township has a population of 4,262 residents per the 2010 census, and nearly 50 miles of roadway.
